Salt Lake City, UT · May 6, 2026. Sugar House is losing a popular local spot for drinks, games, and nights out. Quarters Arcade Bar has officially announced that its Sugar House location will close on May 31, 2026.
The arcade bar shared the news on Instagram, citing ongoing construction in the area, slower summer business, and rising rent costs as factors behind the decision. The venue first opened its Sugar House location in 2022 and quickly became known for its mix of arcade games, cocktails, pinball, skee-ball, and late-night energy.
Rather than quietly shutting down, Quarters says it plans to spend its final weeks hosting special events and pop-ups leading up to the closure. According to the announcement, guests can expect collaborations with local favorites like Beast From The East Subs and DSDogs, along with tournaments, themed nights, and farewell events throughout May.
The business also confirmed that its downtown Salt Lake City location will remain open.
In their message to customers, the team thanked the community for supporting the Sugar House location through the years and encouraged guests to stop by one last time before the doors close at the end of the month.
For many locals, Quarters became more than just an arcade bar — it was a go-to spot for casual nights out, first dates, birthday parties, and late-night games with friends in Sugar House.
The final day of operation for the Sugar House location is scheduled for May 31, 2026.
